Bionaire Remote Control Tower Fan with Sliding Control Panel
I’m not joking, but this is one of the best purchases of my entire life. This fan is basically assembled on delivery, except for the base, which takes a few minutes if even that. I purchased this fan specifically for its quiet mode and it has not let me down, its brilliant, especially because of my sensitivity to noise. It’s very simple to use, I didn’t even need to read the instructions. I don’t want this to read like a sales pitch, but people have mentioned how fresh it is in my home. It is also very attractive, from my geeky point of view, with its blue lights. I have one small problem, I’m prone to dropping things like remote controls, and it’s remote control seems small and fragile, so I hope I can buy a replacement from the supplier if I break it. All that said, as fan’s go, you really wont do much better than this, I promise you.

It’s a great-looking fan, nice blue LEDs, and the best thing for us is that it’s dead quiet, meaning we don’t have much trouble sleeping with it switched on. Worth the extra cash over other fans.
If you’re interested, there’s a demo of it on YouTube; search for ‘Bionaire Tower Fan BT90R-IUK’ and you’ll find it.

I have tried a few tower fans prior to this particular model, but found claims of silence to be vastly exaggerated. After much research (and returned purchases) I discovered that the claims made in respect of this fan were actually valid – it is wonderfully quiet in operation, even in a bedroom.
The fan is high enough to produce a nice cooling breeze over the top of a (fairly high) divan bed and it is quiet enough to permit sleep for even a light sleeper on any of the settings. The oscillation setting allows the air to reach most of a room and ensure everyone benefits, which is always useful.
Despite the height, the fan is light enough to be moved around with ease due to the integrated handle situated near to the top. This is very handy, given the vagaries of the British weather, as the fan can be easily moved into a corner when it is not immediately needed.
The remote control is very useful, particularly when the fan is used in a bedroom. Best of all, it stores neatly away under the sliding control panel, which makes it difficult to lose. The remote control battery life is fairly good as it only ran out this year, so it lasted just over two years of use in Spring/Summer.
At the start of the third year’s use, I discovered that two of the blue lights no longer worked in the control panel. I can still tell which setting the fan is on, but it is a little disappointing that the display has started to fail after fairly limited use over a two year period. Having said that, it does not reduce the overall 5-star rating as it is a very quiet fan that continues to produce a good, cooling breeze.

The fan is slime, powerful and stylish. It doesn’t take up much of your space and delivers a very powerful blow. It cools u down quickly and it also has a timer should you want to switch it off after a while say when sleeping otherwise, you may wake up feeling very cold. It’s got a remote control which can be used to basically control all it’s functions from a distance and if you’re not using the remote, it can be tuck away nicely into the elegant sliding slot. It’s a beautiful fan and does the job.

Bionaire Remote Control Tower Fan with Sliding Control Panel
Nice looking fan, handy remote control and timer features. Fairly quiet, but after all it is a fan, so it does make some noise, but who cares when its hot!

Even though it was a little pricey but I think I made the right decision. Have used it for over a month now and its great – doesnt make any noise, has excellent features and I love the remote which makes this fan very handy to operate. I am thinking of buying another one for my second bedroom. Also it looks great and the blue LED serves as a natural night light as well. I would recommend this fan to anyone who is thinking of purchasing something similar.

Well… summer is here again and, although it usually only lasts for 3 or 4 days I thought it would make sense to buy a fan ahead of time rather than waiting until the heat REALLY set in. I opted for this one because I already have a large box fan that I use for when I’m drumming, and it’s very noisy so I wanted to avoid a box fan this time.
The reason I picked this particular model was because… well… I’m a bit of a geek! It’s got shiny black bits on it, bright blue LEDs on the control panel, it has a neat little eject button which slides open the top area (on a slow eject) to reveal a nifty little remote control. That was why I bought it.
Why am I so happy with it?! Because it’s QUIET, it throws out lovely cool air, it has three different speed settings, you can set it to oscillate and it’s STILL quiet. There are many reasons why I would buy this from a geek point of view, but there are more reasons to buy it if you want to be kept cool.
This is for the bedroom, so the most important thing is the noise factor. It’s all very well to want to stay cool at night but if you can’t sleep because of the noise then there’s no point. The box fan sounds like a jet engine sitting in neutral all night whereas this Bionaire is very quiet. It’s not silent… it couldn’t be, because of the very nature of how fans work, but it’s certainly quiet enough to let you sleep soundly even with the fan on the highest level.
There’s another little feature called “natural breeze” where it randomly goes through the various speed and oscillation settings to generate a realistic feeling breeze. I was sceptical because I thought “well it’s hardly going to feel realistic” but it kinda does. There are times when you’re just getting a brief breeze and then there are times where it’s a little stronger and cooler so yeah, I’m impressed by it.
I’m now considering buying one for the office… just in case we have more than four days of summer this year. Hardly likely though, so I’ll wait a while!
UPDATE
—————–
I bought another one! It was THAT good, that I ended up wishing I had another one for my office rather than my noisy desk fan. Thanks to Amazon Prime’s next day delivery, my dream of a cool work environment became a reality the following day. I can’t say enough good things about this fan… it’s the first review I’ve ever followed up on!

We had a ceiling fan previously that provided a near silent cool breeze in the summer, so this was going to be a hard act to follow. The fan is good looking powerful and fairly quiet. We can sleep easily with it on a low setting. Its high enough to reach you on the bed, has a good set of features and a nifty remote control that is hidden in the unit when not in use.
